Christmas Gift Holders

I made these oversized Christmas Gift Holders to hold gift certificates that we are giving out this year for Christmas! Lots of fun to make.  The pictures on the fronts are a portion of a piece 12x12 speciality Christmas patterned papers I found in my stash.  The bow is made out of 5 ovals with the center cut out, then stickled!  One brad on the box tops left goes thru all layers to connect the top...other brads added to just the box top front to even out the look...ribbon added to embellish, & gift tag added to personalize with family name.  ( idea from pinterests )

Reindeer Gift Card Holder

This Gift Card idea came from Pinterest.  My version is made with the reindeer cut from the Joys Of Christmas, cricut cartridge.  I cut the head & feet off the die cut body & made my own body 2 3/4" x 4" stapling the 2 sides together to make the pocket for holding a Gift Card.  Added patterned paper to cover staples.  Embellished with roly-poly eyes, red jingle bell for nose, stickles to enhance antlers, face features, ears & hoofs...red ribbon for nose.  I hope the receivers of these gift cards will enjoy them.

More scalloped Christmas Trees

Betty shared such a neat idea for paper trees. I made mine using My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers; glitter everywhere! I had seven sizes of dies for each tree and short bamboo skewers, about 8 inches. Some trees were layered with 3 of each size and others with 4. Both look wonderful! Thanks Betty!

Paper Ring Garland

List of supplies:

6 different digital designed papers
12 pages of matte Presentation Paper
Paper cutter
Scissors
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher Stapler
Printer

I printed on both sides  of (12) - 8.5 x 11 inch Presentation paper(using a different pattern for the opposite side).  I printed 4 of each combo I chose to put together.

After printing, you may need to trim off the white edge on all 4 sides of each paper.  Then place each paper lengthwise in your trimmer and cut into 1 inch wide strips x roughly 10.5 inches(remember you trimmed off the white outer edge.)

Cut a piece of plain white paper the same way in a 1 inch strip x the same length of your patterned strips and then fold it in half and cut along the fold. You will use this 1/2 strip to help you place the long strips back on your cutter to cut each long strip in half.  This will save a lot of time cutting multiple strips at a time.

Line up all 8 strips and cut them in 1/2 all at once.

You will get (16) 1/2 strips out of each page.  You will end up with (192) 1/2 strips in all.

Remember these are all printed double sided so find a pleasant color pattern before you start stapling.  Below are the opposite sides of each of my 6 patterns.

Now get your Tiny Attacher and start making loops and overlapping at the ends about a 1/4 inch. You can put one staple in the middle of each overlapped end. Keep your 6 stacks of paper in a row and just use one of each and then start over again.  Doesn't the inside look pretty with a patterned printed on both sides?

I ended up with about 18 feet of garland when I was finished!

It went around my tree about 3 times.

And here is a closeup of the garland on the tree!
The digital designs I used were from the Jessica Sprague Christmas Blog Train(2010)

Snowman Christmas Card

This is my 3rd Christmas Card that I made for a Swap that I hosted just this month...to see the other 2 cards I believe I posted them back in January or February. I just love Christmas time and making cards and it works out really well to get the swap finished by the end of October so the girls can get on with the Season.

JOY

This Christmas Card was suppose to be my last weeks posting for "A Card A Week"! Really fun to make, not an original idea...I seen it some where! It is made up using 3 Cuddle Bug Embossing Folders, Martha Steward border punch Pine Leaves, Reindeer and Christmas Trees from the Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge, Joy is a Cricut Cartridge, White satin w/silver thread ribbon, Diamond Stickles on the Reindeer's Antlers! I used chipboard behind the elements to help give depth.

Peace Love Joy

This 5 x 7 Christmas Card is a total scraplift...but I'll be darn if I can remember where I found it. I've used double sided patterned paper cut probably in an 8" circle, then cut the circle in half, with folding half circle paper back and forth till you get the look you want to make the Christmas Tree, then stickle. Title tag was made in PSE.

Merry Christmas

Making snowman Christmas cards, sure beats making a snowman outside, in this Kansas City Weather! We have about 7" of snow and single digit tempatures!  These cards are 5 x 7, and all materials are out of my stash...what a great way to use it up!

Christmas Card

I wanted to post this card before my husband puts it with all of the other cards I have made him.  This is the Christmas card I made him.  Yes, that is a picture of me when I was around 3 years old.
