Female Birthday Card

I am hosting a Birthday Card Swap with my local scrapbooking friends, & I signed up to make 3 sets of card, with 21 cards per set.

I love this card, it is a SCRAPLIFT from a card that SUSAN shared with me at our Suites Rally! Thanks Susan for sharing your designer cards with me and allowing me to scraplift!

Inside this card is the pull out tag that says Happy Birthday on it...but depending on what your paper and design is, this card would work for many different occasions. The outer flower of the tag was cut on the cricuit, using the Mini Monograms cartridge and poked the tiny holes around the pedles with a piercer for the added detail, the circle was made with my 2" circle punch, the fonts Curlz MT, small flower cut with the George cartridge...then I used a brad to attach...Ribbon was attached with the Tim Holtz stapler. Large flower was also cut with the George cartridge and the circle a 1/2" punch, and stickles added for detail.

I started out with an 8"x8" sheet of double sided cardstock.

Folded the paper across so that the fold is on the opposite corners & this will make the paper a triangle. (I use my Martha Stewart Scoring board to secure a straight & crisp fold).

Next I folded in each side to go across the background area. (To begin I lightly folded both sides at the same time left corner to the right side edge, and the right corner to the left side edge, making the straight edges over lap each other across the top, perfectly, & evenly, then creased the left side down,

then folding the right side over the left, then creasing down.

I turned down the top half of the paper that points up, and now you can see the contrast of the double sided paper.

My friend from jessicasprague.com Catherine Wood, www.buttefliesandbluebells.com created this Quick Page that I used for these two layouts of Jack and Kayden. The Quick Page is call ChampagneSummerQP. I love Catherine's style! She uses a lot of extracted flowers and things. Thanks Catherine!! Anyway....I thought the blue color was perfect for new layouts of Jack and Kayden. So here they are!

Birthday Cards

Tony likes to send his family birthday cards all at once to cover them for the year! So it's that time again to send them cards. I made 2 Hello Kitty cards for the girls...although one is not Hello Kitty, it's a cupcake from the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge. Then I made 3 Mickey Mouse cards for the 3 boys!
