Slow Sync Flash

In our photo challenge at jessiccasprague.com we are using a technique called slow sync flash. It's where you use a slow shutter speed...and the flash goes off toward the end of taking the photo. It gives some really cool background effect while keeping the main subject in focus. This is the last day for the Big Idea Festival, and here is my layout for Day 12's inspiration PLAY. It's been a fun freebie class. I may of forgotten to tell ya, that for each day we were provided the inspiration word, and journaling lines to use on a layout, what we did with it was up to us...I always erased the journaling lines...as I just don't like the looks.

This my day 11 inspiration for EMBRACE in the class I'm taking at Big Picture Classes. Loving the inspirational words, and sad that it is about to come to an end!

MOMENT

Day 10 of the Big Idea Festival class that I'm taking...hope you are not getting bored with me posting the layouts...I'm having fun with the inspirational words...and want to share!

Ahhh...I can remember this moment clearly, as if we were back in Anchorage Alaska, August 2004, a little after midnight. I used one of my favorite quotes.

FREE

This is my Day 9 layout from the Big Idea Festival class, inspiration is FREE...and I use the word to share with you, that in my FREE time, I design and make craft kits for the ladies at our summer Rallies.

LIVE

WOW I'm in shock...its already been a week of class...this is my Day 8 of the Big Idea Festival class, with the inspiration word LIFE...I am so surprised that I've kept up.

CHERISH

This is my Day 7 layout for the Big Idea Festival, free class that I'm taking. The inspiration word is CHERISH. This is a dedication to my nephew who, after suffering with brain cancer for 10 years, passed away this summer.

NEST

This is my day 6 layout on the Big Idea Festival word inspiration class.

Female Birthday Card

This card is also a scrap lift of one of Susan's cards, that I use for the Birthday Card Swap that I hosted for my local SB group. The base of the card is folded with the fold at the bottom to make the base of the card a pocket, and the verse is on a seperate cardstock that fits into the pocket with only the flowers at the top peaking out!

Male Birthday Card

This Birthday Card is a scrap lift from a birthday card that Susan taught at our RV Rally...I used this card for the swap that I hosted with my local SB club. The card is cut on double sided striped/brown paper. I opend up my template card flat and traced onto the patterned paper, then cut and folded in half on the front left hand side of card. With the inside color being mostly dark brown I inserted a white square sheet of paper with my birthday wish printed on it.
