I made these oversized Christmas Gift Holders to hold gift certificates that we are giving out this year for Christmas! Lots of fun to make. The pictures on the fronts are a portion of a piece 12x12 speciality Christmas patterned papers I found in my stash. The bow is made out of 5 ovals with the center cut out, then stickled! One brad on the box tops left goes thru all layers to connect the top...other brads added to just the box top front to even out the look...ribbon added to embellish, & gift tag added to personalize with family name. ( idea from pinterests )</div>

<br />
This Gift Card idea came from Pinterest. My version is made with the reindeer cut from the Joys Of Christmas, cricut cartridge. I cut the head & feet off the die cut body & made my own body 2 3/4" x 4" stapling the 2 sides together to make the pocket for holding a Gift Card. Added patterned paper to cover staples. Embellished with roly-poly eyes, red jingle bell for nose, stickles to enhance antlers, face features, ears & hoofs...red ribbon for nose. I hope the receivers of these gift cards will enjoy them.<br />

I made 2 of these cute pumpkins this year, one for myself & one to donate as a door prize at our fall rally.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NC4p3erFhkU/UnYvbHtP5zI/AAAAAAAAABQ/3XWWoYlWoWQ/s1600/image.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NC4p3erFhkU/UnYvbHtP5zI/AAAAAAAAABQ/3XWWoYlWoWQ/s320/image.jpg" height="306" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To make this pumpkin you need 18 large canning rings (I got these at Hy-Vee Grocery Store 12 to a box) orange spray paint, a cinnamon stick, a orange pipe cleaner, garnish ( I used some pieces off a fall pix) & a hot glue gun.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Spray paint all canning rings, & let dry. Then you want to thread the rings onto the pipe cleaner. Make sure all rings are facing the same direction. Tighten & tie pipe cleaner, to form a ring. (By now I've messed with it enough that the paint is chipping off so I sprayed it again & let dry). Stick cinnamon stick down the middle, determine how long you want the stem & cut shorter if desired. Hot glue garnish as needed. Enjoy!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Found this on Pinterest. I'm falling in love with kraft paper; the look, the feel - something a little rustic, casual and easy about it. The leaf shapes were cut from a Cricut cartridge. Use three different leaf patterns for variety and run them through the Cuttlebug for texture. The sentiment stamp came from Creative Memories and uses the walnut stain ink pad from Tim Holtz. The wooden buttons are of an old sweater and I liked the gold twine for fall. The CM stamp is kinda grungy so I inked the edge of the card to match. I left the leaves bare; I thought the texture added enough. I do hope you all Gobbled 'til you Wobbled!</div>

My grandson turned two years old in January. He choose to celebrate with Elmo and the neighbor kids. I found the paper available in several scrapbook stores; the licensed paper co$t$ but the results can't be beat. The reverse of the stripes are the Sesame Street character heads, so I cut them apart and matted them for a border. Betty cut the blue border of numbers on a Cricut. Thanks goodness for Xyrons! Clever way to get your message across!</div>

I've been busy visiting Betty in Kansas and attending a scrapbook workshop given by embellishIT! The page kits are fantastic if you have a brain block. Here are some of the pages from my first scrapbook: Grandpa & Me was done using the die cut from Little Yellow Bicycle Little Boy's Safari collection. Lettering was done on a Cricut (with the shadow feature). The collection features soft blues, greens, yellows and oranges suited for a new baby.<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M1znx8Pdr5s/UAtirKJQQGI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/bJcUA1zybdE/s1600/SusansBlog%5B3%5D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M1znx8Pdr5s/UAtirKJQQGI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/bJcUA1zybdE/s1600/SusansBlog%5B3%5D.jpg" /></a></div>

There is a photography challenge up at jessicasprague.com until May 18th, this is one of my submissions. I used my Canon Rebel T2i, and a 50mm lens with an fstop of 1.8. </div>

The dollar store has simple frames that some of my favorite printed paper was added to. I've used the Tim Holtz Alterations Tattered Florals die to make these flowers that adorn the frame corners. Some of the petals were pleated, some rolled on a pencil or kabob stick and some were rolled and pleated! Each flower has at least three layers; some as many as seven. Some are curled right side up and some are right side down. Glue dots work really well as do brads.<br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jrEdKAEN_Cs/T00xmGr_uiI/AAAAAAAAAQI/WXW_D_k-7S8/s1600/IMG_0163.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="text-align: left;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jrEdKAEN_Cs/T00xmGr_uiI/AAAAAAAAAQI/WXW_D_k-7S8/s320/IMG_0163.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5714278032902961698" /></a>I'm thinking that as I learn more flower techniques, <div>I will add to the other frames. My DIL took her new baby for the one month checkup and took this photo in the mirror holding the baby and the camera phone. I tried to hide the camera with a Damask flourish from Cricut, a strip of beautiful lace and some really funky ruffle I found at Joann Fabrics. Its too cute and girly to boot! The white cotton doilies added more texture to the page. Mom loves it. I hope you do too.<div><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BKY8-gj0E9M/T0mKu8hvgiI/AAAAAAAAAPM/L8xrX_RTq30/s1600/SusansBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 264px; height: 104px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BKY8-gj0E9M/T0mKu8hvgiI/AAAAAAAAAPM/L8xrX_RTq30/s320/SusansBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5713250141422453282" /></a><br /></div>SusanEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04475966329122139229noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1072633034440284677.post-48637982892208933142012-02-25T16:27:00.004-08:002012-02-25T16:37:19.153-08:00The Zoo<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FkqFNKpyAq4/T0l9gDwHU0I/AAAAAAAAAO8/EqKEs7xW0XM/s1600/IMG_0190.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 315px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FkqFNKpyAq4/T0l9gDwHU0I/AAAAAAAAAO8/EqKEs7xW0XM/s320/IMG_0190.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5713235592012583746" /></a>I really enjoy doing a two page layout in my scrapbooks. You will want to do the 4 sides first and let them dry for a while before doing the top and bottom photos. You don't want to smudge your sides by trying to paint on the Modge Podge to the top and bottom photos before they are completely dry. Layout your photos like the template below. The reason for rotating the photos is if you put all 4 sides with the photos right-side up....you will never see your photo on the bottom. If you put them like the template below..you will always have 2 photos side by side with the photos upright...which allows you to turn your photo block upside down to see the bottom photo.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />

Who couldn't use something cheerful during the dreary days of winter? This 5' x 7" card was made using Bazzill solid color papers, CoreColors by coredinations and BoBunny Back to Basics Dots. I used the Cuttlebug dotted folder to add texture to the green leaves and ran an ink pad over the dots for a little more color. White stitch lines added even more interest and the buttons were just too cute to pass up. Check out the video on uTube with instructions unmaking a bow using only a fork. Really cool and you don't have to fumble making the traditional ones! <div><br /></div><div><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyZ27-dv9PM/TxxiRYVsarI/AAAAAAAAANU/X0kDZSbOt2g/s1600/SusansBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 264px; height: 104px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyZ27-dv9PM/TxxiRYVsarI/AAAAAAAAANU/X0kDZSbOt2g/s320/SusansBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5700539279074945714"></a><br /></div>SusanEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04475966329122139229noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1072633034440284677.post-64040883557199191352012-01-02T12:00:00.001-08:002012-01-02T12:30:40.515-08:00Christmas 2011It's not too late to start getting ideas for next year's cards! LOL Here are the two I made for 2011. The Flower Soft idea was something I'd been toying with for a while so it was time to finally use it! Very pretty; I can't wait to try out their spring colors and flower pots to decorate.<div><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xlgJFEyrmW8/TwISi0OIwNI/AAAAAAAAANI/H2BLius8Zkc/s1600/IMG_0117.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 303px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xlgJFEyrmW8/TwISi0OIwNI/AAAAAAAAANI/H2BLius8Zkc/s320/IMG_0117.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693133268292518098" /></a><br /><br /><div>A close-up of the tiny Flower Soft pieces: Vintage Christmas and Polar White. The lantern scenes and the gold adhesive braid is from flower Soft. Maybe someone knows a trick to using it but it acted just like glitter: all over everything ! Great effect though; the cutaway deckle edge on the card front and the deckle edge trim inside really made the colors stand out.<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Qp0U9Ham5l4/TwIQ8dVQitI/AAAAAAAAAM8/eJB-UmaiISs/s1600/IMG_0121.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Qp0U9Ham5l4/TwIQ8dVQitI/AAAAAAAAAM8/eJB-UmaiISs/s320/IMG_0121.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693131509801716434" /></a><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mMG_pJO7ZSY/TwIQXXB32mI/AAAAAAAAAMw/MgF3wr-ud3Y/s1600/IMG_0120.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><br /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oHgxGknX5xU/TwINSMUAqII/AAAAAAAAAMk/oGO6s7jGu9E/s1600/IMG_0131.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 242px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oHgxGknX5xU/TwINSMUAqII/AAAAAAAAAMk/oGO6s7jGu9E/s320/IMG_0131.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693127485143689346" /></a><div>This card was made by layering your Christmas papers and using the BIGZ die, Tree, Christmas Layered. It was fun to use up all those small scraps of paper. The tree was glued to a white card distressed with Tim Holtz Tea Dye. I distressed some of the paper edges, pierced the corners and used a dimensional glue dot only on the star.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z-T-CJ3DYJc/TwIM7GzakmI/AAAAAAAAAMY/_U4X2dyeEJg/s1600/SusansBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 264px; height: 104px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z-T-CJ3DYJc/TwIM7GzakmI/AAAAAAAAAMY/_U4X2dyeEJg/s320/SusansBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693127088527807074" /></a><br /></div></div></div></div>SusanEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04475966329122139229noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1072633034440284677.post-2366156267197024992011-12-16T03:31:00.000-08:002011-12-16T05:32:54.887-08:00Gift Card HoldersThis year I decided to give all our kids gift cards to Red Lobster, so I made Christmas envelopes to hold the gift cards then just put them in the Christmas Tree for decoration since I didn't know where to put them...I thought they came out pretty cute and look nice in the tree. I learned how to make the santa tags on a Ustream that Heidy Swap had last week. (Its pretty unprofressional but if you would like to learn how to cut the fringe and make these, check it out!) <a href="http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/19069141">http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/19069141</a> I attached the tag to the back side of the envelope so that they don't have to turn it over to open...just open under the tag.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fEHy8Dqv8Ac/TusuRoMsr0I/AAAAAAAAAdg/knQPReDvgME/s1600/IMG_0018%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 180px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686689834868715330" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fEHy8Dqv8Ac/TusuRoMsr0I/AAAAAAAAAdg/knQPReDvgME/s320/IMG_0018%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hnIDo0q4omc/TustjS5V8JI/AAAAAAAAAdI/rKcYSgrzP0M/s1600/IMG_0015%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686689038876405906" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hnIDo0q4omc/TustjS5V8JI/AAAAAAAAAdI/rKcYSgrzP0M/s320/IMG_0015%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_Z324ZcJoKE/TustRpsIVSI/AAAAAAAAAc8/sPuJLbCTiCk/s1600/IMG_0016%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686688735757358370" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_Z324ZcJoKE/TustRpsIVSI/AAAAAAAAAc8/sPuJLbCTiCk/s320/IMG_0016%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WHQJeeHQA_Q/Tuss6syBVrI/AAAAAAAAAcw/7zH_fxKR-bE/s1600/IMG_0017%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686688341450380978" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WHQJeeHQA_Q/Tuss6syBVrI/AAAAAAAAAcw/7zH_fxKR-bE/s320/IMG_0017%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a> <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rRE6P0Ws3Ho/TussW2lO-fI/AAAAAAAAAck/8Ak6wGL0T68/s1600/BettyforBlog%255B3%255D.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 264px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 119px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686687725605812722" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rRE6P0Ws3Ho/TussW2lO-fI/AAAAAAAAAck/8Ak6wGL0T68/s320/BettyforBlog%255B3%255D.jpg" /></a></div></div></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1072633034440284677.post-4342564665818488842011-12-16T02:38:00.000-08:002011-12-16T02:59:16.066-08:00Snowman<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xOxEvR5wKgc/TusixLc_UfI/AAAAAAAAAcY/8qXdfwCBQ9E/s1600/IMG_0027%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686677182768697842" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xOxEvR5wKgc/TusixLc_UfI/AAAAAAAAAcY/8qXdfwCBQ9E/s320/IMG_0027%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pbe6_nT64L8/TusiEcJHo0I/AAAAAAAAAcM/riuOS_C35gc/s1600/IMG_0025%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686676414154646338" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pbe6_nT64L8/TusiEcJHo0I/AAAAAAAAAcM/riuOS_C35gc/s320/IMG_0025%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a> The girls that I scrapbook with every week came across this project pattern for a snowman at Archivers ...so we just had to make it...since I love snowmen and collect them, he just fit right in to my snowman family.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7mNX7rqQrv0/Tush3A8QQvI/AAAAAAAAAcA/IZrbfNJqESw/s1600/IMG_0023%2B%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686676183514628850" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7mNX7rqQrv0/Tush3A8QQvI/AAAAAAAAAcA/IZrbfNJqESw/s320/IMG_0023%2B%25282%2529.JPG" /></a> Go to <a href="http://www.archiversonline.com/ideas/home-decor-rosette-snowman-3414">http://www.archiversonline.com/ideas/home-decor-rosette-snowman-3414</a> for the directions...oh in addition to the directions...my friends husband made us a 4 or 5 inch round platform and glued a dowel rod into it...so that the rosettes are stacked with the dowel rod going thru the center, which makes him very sturdy! </div><div style="text-align: left;">6 different digital designed papers </div><div style="text-align: left;">12 pages of matte Presentation Paper</div><div style="text-align: left;">Paper cutter</div><div style="text-align: left;">Scissors</div><div style="text-align: left;">Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher Stapler</div><div style="text-align: left;">Printer</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mRnBHTnvzzo/TtwH65atPhI/AAAAAAAAAK4/gBlxjTftQZ4/s1600/IMG_3066.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mRnBHTnvzzo/TtwH65atPhI/AAAAAAAAAK4/gBlxjTftQZ4/s320/IMG_3066.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">I printed on both sides of (12) - 8.5 x 11 inch Presentation paper(using a different pattern for the opposite side). I printed 4 of each combo I chose to put together. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">After printing, you may need to trim off the white edge on all 4 sides of each paper. Then place each paper lengthwise in your trimmer and cut into 1 inch wide strips x roughly 10.5 inches(remember you trimmed off the white outer edge.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Rc4HMu-qZQ8/TtwIGktwguI/AAAAAAAAALA/P0CGdCE-zXk/s1600/IMG_3078.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Rc4HMu-qZQ8/TtwIGktwguI/AAAAAAAAALA/P0CGdCE-zXk/s320/IMG_3078.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Cut a piece of plain white paper the same way in a 1 inch strip x the same length of your patterned strips and then fold it in half and cut along the fold. You will use this 1/2 strip to help you place the long strips back on your cutter to cut each long strip in half. This will save a lot of time cutting multiple strips at a time.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cW8qXTrvdwU/TtwI1i91kkI/AAAAAAAAALI/LHeJwOQQjIA/s1600/IMG_3073.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cW8qXTrvdwU/TtwI1i91kkI/AAAAAAAAALI/LHeJwOQQjIA/s320/IMG_3073.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Line up all 8 strips and cut them in 1/2 all at once.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YdnySAOT95A/TtwNpqvSdGI/AAAAAAAAAMI/8Q2mYlBNqkI/s1600/IMG_3075.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YdnySAOT95A/TtwNpqvSdGI/AAAAAAAAAMI/8Q2mYlBNqkI/s320/IMG_3075.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><br />
You will get (16) 1/2 strips out of each page. You will end up with (192) 1/2 strips in all.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9AkqN5ihQ3c/TtwKLzYCdLI/AAAAAAAAALQ/Tvd-Z0Ai5aQ/s1600/IMG_3080.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9AkqN5ihQ3c/TtwKLzYCdLI/AAAAAAAAALQ/Tvd-Z0Ai5aQ/s320/IMG_3080.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Remember these are all printed double sided so find a pleasant color pattern before you start stapling. Below are the opposite sides of each of my 6 patterns.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SIC9Q7x8ui0/TtwKf1Sw1gI/AAAAAAAAALY/PtBEvl-RyYk/s1600/IMG_3084.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SIC9Q7x8ui0/TtwKf1Sw1gI/AAAAAAAAALY/PtBEvl-RyYk/s320/IMG_3084.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now get your Tiny Attacher and start making loops and overlapping at the ends about a 1/4 inch. You can put one staple in the middle of each overlapped end. Keep your 6 stacks of paper in a row and just use one of each and then start over again. Doesn't the inside look pretty with a patterned printed on both sides?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_t1CqZsMkFI/TtwK9lvBgKI/AAAAAAAAALg/uk_WaPUvIt0/s1600/IMG_3086.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_t1CqZsMkFI/TtwK9lvBgKI/AAAAAAAAALg/uk_WaPUvIt0/s320/IMG_3086.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<br />
<br />
I ended up with about 18 feet of garland when I was finished!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X6qrm22GgnA/TtwLir3QDrI/AAAAAAAAALo/pV8xKixvt-g/s1600/IMG_3087.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X6qrm22GgnA/TtwLir3QDrI/AAAAAAAAALo/pV8xKixvt-g/s320/IMG_3087.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<br />
It went around my tree about 3 times.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ERzf0glKoBA/TtwL2CzTeEI/AAAAAAAAALw/fEnjS5jbxow/s1600/IMG_3089.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ERzf0glKoBA/TtwL2CzTeEI/AAAAAAAAALw/fEnjS5jbxow/s320/IMG_3089.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<br />
And here is a closeup of the garland on the tree!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-T_31j-GFlFc/TtwMDcqkDYI/AAAAAAAAAL4/fVQ5VUpgZyM/s1600/IMG_3090.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-T_31j-GFlFc/TtwMDcqkDYI/AAAAAAAAAL4/fVQ5VUpgZyM/s320/IMG_3090.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The digital designs I used were from the Jessica Sprague Christmas Blog Train(2010)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KicT7FpKgV4/TtwMrhAYX3I/AAAAAAAAAMA/wD3d4JMmRXE/s1600/MeSmallestforBlog9.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KicT7FpKgV4/TtwMrhAYX3I/AAAAAAAAAMA/wD3d4JMmRXE/s1600/MeSmallestforBlog9.png" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

I made a Key Lime Pie today with a Meringue top! Can't wait to have a piece when I get home from work! Pulled the last few limes off of my tree to make this.....and made the crust from scratch too! Here is the recipe!<br />
<br />
<strong>Ingredients:</strong><br />
<strong>Graham Cracker Crust</strong><br />
1 1/4 cups Honey Maid Graham Cracker Crumbs<br />
1/4 cup sugar<br />
5 T. margarine, melted<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Mix above ingredients well and press into the bottom and sides of an 8 inch pie tin. Bake @ 350 degrees for 8 minutes.</div><br />
<strong>Filling</strong><br />
3 egg yolks<br />
2 t. lime zest<br />
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk<br />
2/3 cup freshly squeezed Key Lime juice, or store-bought<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Beat egg yolks and lime zest with an electric mixer in a mixing bowl for 5 minutes on high speed. Gradually add the condensed milk and continue to beat an additional 3 to 4 minutes until thick. Lower the mixer speed and slowly add the lime juice just until mixed in good....no longer. Pour the mixture into the baked pie shell and bake for 10 minutes @ 350 degrees. Cool on a wire rack. You can top with Cool Whip or Freshly prepared whipped cream, or top with meringue like in the picture above. See below for whipped topping and meringue instructions.</div><br />
<strong>Whipped Cream</strong><br />
1 cup heavy or whipping cream chilled<br />
2 T. confectioners sugar<br />
Whip the cream and the confectioners sugar until nearly stiff. Spoon onto pie.<br />
<br />
<strong>Meringue Baked Topping</strong><br />
4 egg whites<br />
1/2 t. cream of tartar<br />
1/2 cup sugar<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Whip with electric mixer the egg whites and cream of tartar on high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar on medium speed. Beat for 4 minutes or until sugar is dissolved and stiff glossy peaks form. (I didn't beat mine for 4 minutes). Spread over pie sealing to the edges of the crust to prevent shrinkage. Use the back of a spoon to create little curly peaks. Bake an additional 13-15 minutes to brown on the middle rack in the oven set to 350 degrees. Don't burn the top. Let cool for 3 hours before cutting. ENJOY!<br />
