Without using a scoring board, the flowers took some time folding. Instead of cutting out the petals, I used a hole punch on three pleated layers at a time. Medium ZOTS work well to hold the middles together. For added insurance, I glued a 1 inch dot to the backside and used double tape to adhere to the card.
Here are the pieces for the birthday card: floral and dotted paper, green border, pleated 3 inch flower and paper ric rac trim. The greeting banner was stamped in purple ink then embossed with clear powder. Two punched flowers and a glitter brad make up the center of the pleated flower. I left the brad tabs out flat to mimic green leaves. The paper doily was inked first with a maize color, then a bamboo color ink. The ink pad itself was too heavy so I used a sponge.
The card idea and Serendipity paper pack is from Paper Wishes.
Don't forget to use extra postage when mailing.
