This layout is our 6th Lesson in Digi In Deeper ( think we are half way thru)...it was the most interesting to make...as it was awesome looking up skylines to use...after finding pictures of an event! And now I am seeing how to create or make your own scrapbooking paper!

Happy Birthday!
Being inspired by Betty's cards, I decided to give
this technique a try!
The little chickie and dotted circle are from Denami Stamps
The embossed Happy Birthday background is a Cuttlebug folder.
The zig zag bottom and the butterfly are Martha Stewart Punches.
The idea for this card came from Splitcoasters.

This is an Observational Journal that I believe is the first actual lesson of our Mouse, Paper, Scissors class that starts Monday - though they gave us the information to start making it to day...So trying to keep caught up I went a head and made it. Was lots of fun...we had some chalk ink in a spray bottle to sprayed the ribbon to color it, that is something I've never used, and Tombo adhesive...I think I like that adhesive.
Also sorry for posting the all occasion cards again but yesterdays class was making the envelopes, and I thought they were so cute together...also I added some stickles to the cards.

Just BeeCause
This cute little card was lifted from the Nov. 2010 issue of CardMaker magazine. I adjusted all the paper pieces to fit my stash of cards. Betty tutored me on making the clip art bees on PSE sized to fit atop a 1 inch circle with a pop dot. The adhesive pearls add a nice dimension next to the punched circles. Inside, the greeting can be stamped for birthday, thank you or thinking of you.

Floral Birthday Card
I made this birthday card and the paper flowers for Tony's birthday this Sunday...the 27th of Feb. The flower is really easy to make....I can't remember where I saw the instructions for it....I'm still looking, but if I cannot find a link to share...I'll make up instructions with pictures to share here. The buttons are all OLD buttons that my mom cut off of clothing and coats before she discarded them. Click to enlarge the photo.

Enhanced Printable Cards
These cards are printed out from our Mouse, Paper, Scissors Digital Class. Since were given them to print out & use, I decided to enhance them & use as my "Cards of the Week". It is hard to tell in the photos...but I made the cards 3-D by printing all three cards 2 times...I used one set of cards to adhere to the regular card base I always use, then I took the 2nd printed out cards to use as accent pieces. Card 1 I cut out the striped ribbon going across the page as well as the "hi" sign & pop dotted them to the card, then added a touch of ribbon running vertical the length of the card. Card 2 I cut out the Happy & background yellow paper behind it & pop dotted it, & enhanced with the tied ribbon horizontally; on Card 3 I cut out the word "howdy" & the cowboy hat with the partner tag to pop dot. I didn't think it needed anything else, but now thinking about it, I might see if I have a pair of cowboy boots (jolee's sticker) in my stash, that I could add...personally I really love how the enhancements give a 3-D look to each card. This is what we call hybrid scrapbooking since I used digital images as well as paper & ribbon to complete the cards.

Crimped Diamond Card
This week's 5 x 7 card was made using a Paper Crimper! WOW that was something I had to dig 0ut & dust off, haven't used it in years! I found this crimped diamond technique on Split Coast Stampers.

Digi In Deeper, Lesson 4 (Preston's Birthday)
This is my grandson Preston at his 3rd birthday party a couple weeks ago. His mouth is full of chocolate candy or cake...not sure which! He was such a silly boy that day!

Santa Mom
This is my layout for lesson 4 in our Digi In Deeper Class...gosh was it a challenge, that is for sure...I think I would like this layout better if it just had a matted focal photo instead of all the free style stuff...but that is why I'm taking the class to learn the techniques! Enjoy!

Peace Love Joy
This 5 x 7 Christmas Card is a total scraplift...but I'll be darn if I can remember where I found it. I've used double sided patterned paper cut probably in an 8" circle, then cut the circle in half, with folding half circle paper back and forth till you get the look you want to make the Christmas Tree, then stickle. Title tag was made in PSE.

Beaded Card
The Friday afternoon card class at the RV park made this card. This is my very first attempt at stitching a card. Threads are taped to the back; no knots used at all. The pattern is pierced onto cardstock and stitched using the center as a starting point. The beads are locked in with a loop of thread. The color combinations or beads and cardstock are endless. Have Fun!

Today is Day 5 of our Digi Class...once again we were given a picture of a template to make, and challenged to make a layout using it today. I've altered it a bit to get all my matching patterned papers and embellishments to fit the layout! If I keep making Christmas layouts I may end up with a finished Christmas Alum.
